Description of the study
Videootoscopy is an examination performed by a specialist (otolaryngologist) using an otoscope connected to a camera. The videootoscope is inserted into the ear canal, and the image is projected onto a monitor. The image can be retained, played back repeatedly, and stored on disks. It is the most accurate visual method of evaluating the eardrum and structures of the outer ear.
