Is it an Allergy?

Allergy is a well-known problem. We know that it is an increasingly common ailment, regardless of age or where you live. We know that it is possible to have an allergy to practically anything, from plants, animal hair or insect venom to chemicals and medicines.

But do we really know what an allergy is and what its causes are?

Allergies are often inherited from parents and grandparents, so that allergies often run in families. It is a disease that results from the immune system's response to a substance that is not harmful in itself. The underlying cause is the production of antibodies - IgE immunoglobulins - in response to contact with substances commonly present in the environment, known as allergens. Attachment of the allergen to IgE antibodies leads to the release of so-called mediators of the allergic reaction, which are responsible for the development of the allergic inflammation process, and thus for the development of symptoms.

ALEXtest - the shortest way to find the cause of allergies

ALEX is an innovative test for the diagnosis of IgE-mediated allergies. It currently allows the determination of the widest spectrum of allergens in a single blood sample. It allows the determination of up to 282 allergen components (whole allergens and individual molecules).

ALEX significantly increases the accuracy of the test compared to traditional methods for detecting whole allergen IgE antibodies, as it determines not only the whole allergen but also the proteins that make it up.

TheALEX test can be used to confirm the allergic background of asthma, AD, urticaria, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, food hypersensitivity, skin lesions, respiratory disorders and adverse reactions to bee or wasp stings.

The test is recommended in particular for people with a history of anaphylactic reactions as well as for those with a family history of allergic diseases and when serum IgE levels are above normal.

The ALEX test simultaneously determines up to 282 clinically relevant allergens! It gives a complete picture of your allergy, indicating the cause of your illness. It allows you to distinguish between allergy and symptoms caused by cross-reactions. In this way, the risk of life-threatening anaphylactic shock can be predicted.

The test can be done at any age. Very little blood is needed for the test. It is not necessary to stop taking medicines, including anti-allergic ones. Thanks to the use of the ALEX test the time for diagnosis of a patient is significantly shortened.
